Birth 4 Jan. 1894, p. 5 c. 1. The arrival of a young postmaster into the world on Tuesday morning was an event that pleased Mr. and Mrs. H.J. Dixon very much. Mother and child doing well, while Harry will in time recover.
Death 11 Jan. 1894, p. 5 c. 1. The Rev. Jos. Pope returned Tuesday from Stillwater where he, on Monday, conducted funeral services of the late Mrs. L.G. Parker. (Obit. Col. 3, FS)
Birth 15 Feb. 1894, p. 3 c. 1. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Hatfield, of McLeod, are rejoicing over the birth of a daughter.
Death 15 Feb. 1894, p. 3 c. 1. W. Henry Landis, formerly of Martinsdale, died last week at Great Falls, cause of death being heart disease. Henry was a warmhearted, generous man, and was his own worst enemy.

Marriage 1 Mar. 1894, p. 3 c. 1. L.F. Brownell arrived here Sunday from Leithbridge, N.W.T., went up to Melville where he was joined by Miss May Alcorn, returned to Big Timber and together they went to Helena, where they were to be married and from there go to their new home in the Northwest Territory.
Birth 1 Mar. 1894, p. 3 c. 2. A son was born last night to wife of Dan Cross.
Marriage 1 Mar. 1894, p. 3 c. 3. Married On Thursday evening February 23, 1894, Mr. John W. Davis and Miss Carrie Telan were united in the bonds of marriage, Rev. Joseph Pope officiating. It was intended that the ceremony should take place in the Big Timber hotel, of which Mr. Davis is the obliging proprietor, but the illness of Mr. Pope prevented his leaving the house, so the marriage took place at the parsonage.
Death 22 Mar. 1894, p. 3 c. 1, Stillwater Bulletin. Mr. and Mrs. Luther, of East Rosebud, are mourning the loss of their 18 month-old babe, which died very unexpectedly and while his parents were asleep, Friday night of last week.

Death 7 June 1894, p. 5 c. 3. The only child, aged about four, of Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Hedges who reside at Yale, was drowned yesterday afternoon in Careless Creek.
Death 14 June 1894, p. 5 c. 1. The body of little Emma, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Hedges, who was drowned at Yale a few days ago, has been recovered. The child was only a little over three years of age.
Birth 28 June 1894, p. 5 c. 5. A girl baby at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schafer arrived yesterday afternoon.
Death 19 July 1894, p. 5 c. 1. Minnie, aged 7, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F.F. Olson, died Sunday afternoon at their home on the Big Timber from sickness of long standing. The funeral took place yesterday the remains being buried in the Big Timber cemetery.
Marriage 19 July 1894, p. 5 c. 2. The words that will join together for life Miss Mary Teresa Budd and Mr. Glenn Wart will be uttered this evening by Rev. Joseph Pope, at the home of the brides parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.S. Rudd, three miles south of town. The young couple will make their home near Bozeman.
Death 26 July 1894, p. 5 c. 1. Lee Millison, an old-time miner of Hicks Park in the Boulder country, is missing and fears are entertained as to his safety. On July 7 he started alone from Hicks Park for Elk Park, six or seven miles further up the mountains. He failed to arrive there and hasnt been seen since leaving home. The country has been most thoroughly searched but as yet no trace has been found of Millison and the general opinion seems to be that he encountered a bear and was carried off.
Birth 26 July 1894, p. 5 c. 2. Stillwater Bulletin: W.M. Gordon is the proud father of an 11-pound son, which made its advent into his household Saturday morning. Dr. Moore was in attendance and reports mother and child doing well.
Death 16 Aug. 1894, p. 1 c. 5. John Gage who had grown from boyhood in this vicinity died, of organic disease of the heart at the residence of his sister Mrs. J.B. Morris, on Swamp Creek, at 11 oclock Saturday night. He was 22 years of age and was the last of a family of thirteen, except his sisters Mrs. J.B. Morris and Mrs. Horace Bartlett of Livingston. The funeral took place Monday morning and the remains were interred at the Big Timber cemetery.

Death 31 Aug. 1894, p. 5 c. 3. The little daughter, aged two, of Henry Bartels, residing on Lower Sweetgrass, died on Friday last. The funeral took place Sunday, the remains being laid to rest in the Big Timber cemetery.
Birth 6 Sep. 1894, p. 3 c. 2. Joe H. Hogen and wife of Melville had their home gladdened Monday night by the arrival of a ten pound boy.
Birth 20 Sep. 1894, p. 3 c. 1. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lamb are receiving the congratulations of their many friends over the arrival in their home of a baby boy, who made his first appearance in this world on the 12th.
Death 20 Sep. 1894, p. 3 c. 2. Bulletin: A dead man was found in the Yellowstone near Merrill Thursday by J.J. Croft. It is supposed to be the body of James Weazen who was drowned at Grey Cliff several weeks ago. Milo Collins was here yesterday after a coffin and will take the remains to Grey Cliff for burial.
Marriage 4 Oct. 1894, p. 3 c. 3. Married At the residence of Mr. and Mrs. E. Adam, near Melville, and in the presence of a few friends and relatives, Mr. F.O. Maerdian and Miss M. Nile were on Wednesday, September 26, 1894, joined together in the holy bonds of matrimony. Rev. J.M. Mitchard of the Livingston Episcopal church, officiating.
Marriage 11 Oct. 1894, p. 3 c. 2. Married The ceremony binding together Mr. James William Geiger and Miss Jennie Grace Conklin, both of this place, was performed on Thursday, Oct. 4, 1894, in the parlors of the Grand hotel at Billings by the Rev. Jackson. The bride, who had been on an extended visit to her former home in Michigan being met at Billings by Mr. Geiger, the ceremony was performed and they arrived in Big Timber on Friday mornings train and have gone to housekeeping in their home on Harris street and Third avenue.
Death 25 Oct. 1894, p. 3 c.1. A Sad Affair A very sad and pathetic drowning took place yesterday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. G. Brown, three miles northeast of this place, and their little girl lost her life. The little one was about two years old and was just beginning to run around. Yesterday afternoon she was missed for a few minutes and upon looking for her, she was found in an irrigation ditch, flowing near the house, unconscious and apparently dead.

Marriage 15 Nov. 1894, p. 5 c. 1. Mrs. Rosa Milliken of the ceded strip, was married last evening to Charlie Gadifee, the ceremony being performed by Justice J.E. Rees.
Death 15 Nov. 1894, p. 5 c. 1. Died At Hunters Hot Springs on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 1894, Bruce Teeters, brother of Sid Teeters of this city. Mr. Teeters was 31 years of age on the day of his death and had been suffering for many months of heart troubles. The funeral took place at the springs, the deceased being buried at that place.

Marriage 29 Nov. 1894, p. 5 c. 3. Married At the residence of the brides parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jas. N. Kelly, near Hunters Hot Springs, on Tuesday, November 27, 1894, Mr. Geo. H. Webster and Miss Grace N. Kelly were united in marriage will make their home on what is known as the Lowell ranch near the springs.
Marriage 29 Nov. 1894, p. 5 c. 3. Married Last Thursday morning in the Catholic church at Livingston, Mr. Phil Cook and Miss Emily McDonald both of Big Timber, were united in marriage. The ceremony being performed by Rev. A.R. Coopman. (FS)

Death 6 Dec. 1894, p. 5 c. 2. Word comes from Columbus to the effect that Alf Mendenhall was killed near that place Monday by his saddle horse falling on him.

Marriage 13 Dec. 1894, p. 5 c. 2. Miss Emma Laub and Mr. C.H. Lippy were united in marriage yesterday at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. C.S. Walbridge, Justice John E. Rees officiating. The bride arrived on the morning train from the east and comes from Wisconsin. The groom has a fine ranch on the East Boulder and is well known hereabouts.
Marriage 20 Dec. 1894, p. 5 c. 1. Mr. F.E. Runner and Miss M. Ida Kelly, both of this place, were married on Thursday last at Columbus by the Rev. Joseph Pope. The happy couple, who have many friends hereabouts, arrived Friday morning and have gone to housekeeping in the Tumbleson residence.
Death 20 Dec. 184, p. 5 c. 2. The community was saddened Friday to learn of the death of Thomas F. Sturtevant, which occurred at ten oclock Thursday night, at this home on the Boulder, fourteen miles south of here. Deceased was for a long time a resident of Livingston; a man of wide acquaintance and of many friends. He leaves a wife and daughter who have the heartfelt sympathy of all in their sad bereavement. The body has been taken to Red Wing, Minnesota for burial.
